Over the Summer, the Victoria & Victoria Westminster BIDs hosted a fundraising challenge.
Three local businesses, Navigator Gas, The Telegraph and Conrad London St James Hotel, battled it out to see who could turn £100 into the largest amount to be donated to St Vincent’s Family Project, a charity which provides services for parents and children who are experiencing difficulties and the wider effects of poverty in Westminster.
The competition was fierce with funds raised from raffles, Pimms stalls and even selling rubber ducks. Navigator Gas came out on top raising a huge £1,110 and in total over £2,200 was raised. We want to say a huge thank you to all the companies who took part and to everyone who donated money through the activities to this very worthy cause.
Andy Varley CEO of St Vincent’s Family Project also extended his thanks and said:
“Thank you so much to all your colleagues who helped raise money for St. Vincent’s Family Project. Children born into families that are under constant pressure, be it money, isolation, insecure housing, parental conflict, mental and physical ill health, from birth will be more likely to struggle through school and experience some sort of crisis whilst young. By supporting early intervention to help families become resilient and feel supported you are directly affecting the long term chances of these children. Again, thank you so much.”
